FRED SCOTT

Fred Scott is a multiple award-winning director with a Grammy nomination under his belt. His talent for capturing documentary style portraiture and sourcing subjects in their natural state – using photography and moving images to emote their real stories – is what has led him to such successes.

His work has accumulated a raft of accolades so far. His powerful films for Pride In London won 2 silvers at Creative Circle – and received three British Arrow nominations. They also formed part of an extended take-over of Channel 4 commercial airtime. He also has a Grammy nomination (Best Music Film), a Grierson shortlist for his Channel 4 documentary Payday, as well as several music video awards including Best New Director at the MVAs and two MTV VMA nominations for his work with artists such as Laura Marling, The Maccabees and Benjamin Clementine. His collaboration with Matt Damon for Water.org and Stella Artois received its premiere at Sundance.

Fred possesses an ability to spot and project the emotional truth in a scene or subject, which adds great intimacy and human insight to his work. This combined with a powerful cinematic eye allows him to create evocative portraits that have so far inspired audiences through collaborations with Barclays, Stella Artois, Vodafone, Finish, Ikea, Intel and Facebook, amongst many others.
