London based commercials and features house Archer’s Mark continue their expansion signing award winning French director Laurent Barthélemy.

Originally from Paris, Barthélemy established a reputation for innovation and visual ingenuity during his ten-year tenure as CG artist and designer/director at Psyop/Smuggler in New York. There he worked on AICP Award-winning HD spot Crow for MTV, as well as the Clio and Cannes Lion Award-winning spot Human Chain for Nike. 

Recently he’s been at the helm of commercial projects for Nike, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Uniqlo and Google, for whom he directed Google Play which is currently the most viewed Google video on Youtube with over 75M hits to date. His epic Lunar ad for Nike also saw him deploy his famous visual effects skills and the stunning Concept AI Ad for Toyota, combines humorous performance with epic automotive visuals.

Archer’s Exec Producer Ben Whitfield commented;

On top of commercials, Barthelémy meshes beautifully with Archer’s multi-award winning features pedigree, representing their desire to leverage high quality director’s who are just as comfortable in long form as they are short form. Barthelémy’s ambitious 2016 short film, Campers, stars César (French Oscars) winner Rod Paradot and made waves across the French industry, and he is currently in development on a documentary with boxing superstar Vasyl Lomachenko.
