NOTES ON BLINDNESS EARNS
SIX BIFA NODS
Peter Middleton & James Spinney’s acclaimed documentary about blind theologian John Hull has been nominated for six British Independent Film Awards. We’re up for Best Directors, Best Debut Directors, Best British Independent Film, Best Documentary, Outstanding Achievement in Craft (recognising Joakim Sündstrom’s Sound Design), and Breakthrough Producers – finally acknowledging all of Mike, Steve & Jo-Jo’s sweat, blood and tears over the course of the film’s development!
Congratulations to the whole Notes on Blindness team, and to all the other esteemed nominees – of which you can see a full list here.
We’re also delighted to see that two good friends of Archer’s Mark have been nominated – our War Book Co-producers Sixteen Films, for the profoundly moving I, Daniel Blake, and director Rene Pannevis for his short film Jacked (which we had a small role in). Well done, guys! Much deserved all round.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 4th December.
