INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2018:
#QUEEN RULES
Directed by LIBBY BURKE WILDE
To celebrate International Women’s Day 2018, we teamed up with FCB Inferno – the acclaimed agency behind This Girl Can – to create a social experiment film as part of their #QueenRules initiative.
Inspired by a real life conversation with a five year old girl – who, during a game of cards with her father, was understandably more than a little miffed when she learned that King cards were ‘better’ than Queens – this film raises important questions about what we subconsciously teach our children about gender.
Producer Jo-Jo Ellison (and Archer’s Mark Head of Film) ensured that the production was bursting with exciting female talent in every department – including newly signed Archer’s Mark director Libby Burke Wilde and cinematographer Catherine Goldschmidt.
All proceeds from the #QueenRules live events and merchandise, including T-shirts, art prints and playing cards, will be donated to HeForShe, a solidarity campaign for the advancement of women initiated by UN Women
"Our industry is full of hugely talented female filmmakers - and it's about time our crews reflect that."
